MacPaint - patterns - to add an on screen pattern to your Patterns Palette, select a pattern you no longer want, choose EDIT PATTERN  from the Goodies menu.  Now click the mouse on the part of the screen showing the pattern you want.  The new pattern will become a permanent part of your Patterns Palette.
